This research seminar seeks to achieve two goals. First of all, we will theoretically explore the connections between globalization and migration in our modern time. Secondly (and empirically), we will use experimental approaches to explore the present relationship between Muslims and non-Muslim Germans in the German society. Students are required to collect a data set using experimental methods, and statistically analyze the data set.
This research seminar explores the operation of interest groups in EU member states which have ambitions to influence the EU policy-making towards the PRC. Students are required to submit a formal research paper, statistically testing hypotheses on different lobbying strategies towards the EU formation of China policies.
This seminar compares political systems and developments in Europe and China. During the course of our comparison, students are also encouraged to think beyond the developments of Europe and China, and expand their comparative analysis to other regions of the world.
This seminar explores the PRC's contemporary relationship with the United States and European countries in the context of political and economic exchanges.

This seminar seeks to shed light upon the PRC’s contemporary relationship with the United States, European countries, Russia, Africa and its East Asian neighbors, in the context of political, economic and cultural exchanges.
This seminar examines the dynamics of interactions between transnational non-state actors, state actors and international institutions in contemporary politics.
